
Oswego East High School
Oswego East is a well-rated public high school in Oswego, IL. There are a few clubs and activities for students to participate in, though this aspect of the institution needs to be improved. Teachers are good, but they are not the best in the area. Diversity is relatively high, though. The 2,744 students come from varying economic and cultural backgrounds. Though, academic performance is not overwhelmingly positive in this school. Only 42% of students are at least proficient in math, while 44% are proficient in reading.
History
Oswego East was established in 2004 because the population in Oswego, Illinois, was growing quickly. The population has continued to grow, so many renovations and expansions have occurred at the school. Today, the school is approximately 600,000 square feet, with a capacity of 3,200 students.
