At a point, overcrowding became an issue at the school, so some students were bused to the Wheaton North building.

Classes have two levels of difficulty that students can be placed into. The categories are Intermediate and AP. There are 17 AP courses that about 31% of students are enrolled in. These classes usually allow students to acquire additional credits that may roll over into their college transcripts.


There are numerous athletic opportunities available at this school. The school competes in
several sports within the DuKane Conference as of 2018. They are also a member of the Illinois High School Association which governs inter-school sports programs in Illinois.
